遵义概况

遵义是贵州省第二大经济、文化、贸易城市,全市国土面积30762平方公里,辖14个县（区、市）及新蒲新区和南部新区，780万人口，中心城区建成区面积200平方公里，城镇化率45%，200万人口框架基本形成。遵义将按照“坚持红色传承，推动绿色发展，打造西部内陆开放新高地”的新要求，谱写遵义经济社会发展新篇章。

A Survey of Zunyi

Zunyi, the second largest city notable as economy, culture and trade in Guizhou, covers an urban area of 30,762 square kilometers. With a population of 7,800,000, Zunyi has 14 counties (districts and municipalities) , the newly added district “Xinpu”   and its southern part under its jurisdiction, and covers a built-up area of 200 square kilometers in the downtown with the urbanization rate of 45 %, thus making framework of a population of 2,000,000 come into being. 红色圣地

遵义是著名的革命圣地。1935年1月，红军长征到达遵义，召开了举世闻名的“遵义会议”，在极端危难的时刻挽救了党,挽救了中国革命，使遵义成为全国景仰的红色革命圣地和闻名遐迩的“转折之城”。

A Holy land of Revolution

Zunyi is the famous holy land of revolution. In the January of 1935, the Red Army came to Zunyi and held a conference well-known as “Zunyi conference” at home and abroad, in which the Chinese communist Party was saved and its revolutionary drive was pulled through and on the right track. Therefore, Zunyi becomes the admirable holy land of revolution and the well-known “ Point-turning City”.

国酒之都

遵义是国酒之都，是中国酒文化名城,拥有国酒茅台，国家级名酒董酒、习酒、珍酒等国家名优酒，以及鸭溪窖酒等40多个部优、省优白酒。酿酒历史源远流长，因出产著名的国酒茅台而享有“国酒之都”的美誉。

A Capital of National Liquor

Zunyi, a capital of national liquor as well as a famous city for its liquor culture, enjoys various kinds of liquor, such as the state liquor “Moutai”, and the national quality products like Dong Liquor, Xi Liquor and Zhen Liquor, etc. In addition, other more than 40 kinds of province-level quality liquor are manufactured here too, such as Yaxi Cellar Liquor, etc. In short, Zunyi has a long history of brewing liquor and is entitled as “A Capital of Liquor” thanks to the “Moutai” liquor.

气候宜人

全市森林覆盖率达55%，年平均气温15.1℃，富氧离子含量3.2万个/立方厘米，冬无严寒，夏无酷暑，是同纬度地区日照时间最长、紫外线最弱、最适宜人居的地方，是全球同纬度生物多样性最丰富的地区。2015年中心城区PM2.5优、良天气349天，优良率95.6%。

Pleasant Climate

With the forest coverage of 55 %, the annual average temperature of Zunyi is 15.1°, and the content of negative oxygen ions is 32000 per cubic centimeter; thereby, it is neither too hot in summer and nor too cold in winter. Zunyi is the most suitable residence thanks to the longest time of sunshine, the thinnest ultraviolet ray and the richest biodiversity as compared with those in the same latitude areas. With the pm 2.5 in the air, the good weather of Zunyi lasted 349 days in 2015, the good rate being 95.6 % of the total.

遵义经济

2015年完成地区生产总值2180亿元，比上年增长13.2%，在西部30个同类城市中增速第一，总量第六；人均地区生产总值突破3.5万元；全社会固定资产投资3200亿元，比上年增长25.4%；全面小康实现程度达86.5%；现有甲骨文、华润、拉法基、沃尔玛等世界500强企业16家；中国铝业、中电投、华电、海尔、国美等中国500强企业42家；江苏雨润、浙江正泰、天士力、哇哈哈、上海月星集团等民营500强企业21家。

The Economy of Zunyi

2015 witnessed the gross productive value of 21.8 billion yuan (RMB), an increase of 13.2 percent over last year, which rates No. 1 among the 30 like cities in the West China; and it is No. 6 in view of the total value among these cities. Per capita GDP of Zunyi reached 35 thousand yuan (RMB). Convenient Transportation:

The waterway of Wujiang River and Chishui River links Yangtze River directly. Zunyi airport ranks to the fore due to the 25 air routes opened to the outside and the annual traffic with 0.83m passengers. When the high-speed railway between Chongqing and Guiyang is completed, it will take only 50 minutes from Zunyi to Chongqing, and 30 minutes to Guiyang, and 4.5 hours to Guangzhou. Three highways pass through Zunyi, such as Lanzhou-Haikou, Hangzhou-Ruili and Chengdu-Zunyi, forming a vast highway network of “Six-vertical, Seven-horizontal and Eight-network”.

已探明矿产60多种，其中煤炭保有储量81亿吨，全省第3位；铝土矿保有储量2.1亿吨，全省第2位；锰矿保有储量5012万吨，占全省的80%；电力充足，总装机1000万KW，是我国“西电东送”的重要能源基地。

Over 60 minerals have been ascertained, of which the reserved coal with about 8.1 billion ton ranks No.3, the bauxite with about 0.21 billion ton ranks No.2, and the manganese ore with 50.12 million ton takes up 80 % of the total in Guizhou province. Besides, with the total installed capacity of 10 million KW, the electric power is adequate, which is an important energetic base for “transmitting the electricity from West China to East China.”

The Key Projects for Industrial Investment

The municipality of Zunyi makes great efforts to carry out the strategy of “Invigorating the Industry of Zunyi”, and the 10-industry system has gradually formed, which is led by white liquor, new materials, assembly manufacture, energy, chemical engineering, tobacco, bamboo processing, high-quality food, pharmacy and emerging industries, and in addition, there are some large-scale enterprises like Moutai Distrillery Ltd, Guizhou Wire Rope Company, Zunyi Titanium Plant, Zunyi Tobacco Industry, etc. The added value of 101 billion yuan (RMB) from the large-scale industries with the asset of 5 million yuan (RMB) has been completed in 2015, an increase of 12.5% over last year, ranking No.1 of the total value in Guizhou province. There are 1100 industries with the asset of 5 million yuan (RMB), and their total profit accounts for 60% or so of the totality in Guizhou. During the 13th  Five Year Plan, directed by the big data, the drive of “Intelligent Manufacture in Zunyi ” will be promoted, viz., Zunyi will be made into an intelligent terminal industrial base, electronic components production base, outsourcing industrial base with special service and big data applied demonstration city , which will be well-known in the world and yet play a leading role in West China.

Zunyi has long been known as “The Granary of North Guizhou”, and the total value of agricultural products like grain, oil, tobacco, Chinese pepper, etc, ranks No.1 in  Guizhou province. Zunyi, one of the four major regions for producing quality tobacco, is the tobacco-producing base of such brand-name cigars as Chunghwa, Panda and Hongta Group. Zunyi, the main tea-producing area, covers an area of 1.95 million mu (321,165 thousand acres or so) for growing tea, the total yield being ninety thousand ton. Zunyi, also one of the main areas for yielding Chinese herbal medicines, produces 2140 kinds of herbal medicines, esp. these famous ones like eucommia ulmoides, gastrodia elata, Chinese gall, mangnolia officinalis, and dendrobe. Zunyi, the main area of growing Chinese pepper, has a cultivated area of 2 million mu (about 329.4 thousand acres) with the annual yield of 250 thousand ton of dried pepper. Zunyi, one of main areas of growing Mao-bamboo, covers a bamboo area of 3.3 million mu (about 543.51 thousand acres). Currently, there are 45 province- level agricultural parks, 10 state-level leading agricultural enterprises and 97 province-level leading enterprises.

城镇服务业：遵义已初步形成了“一核、两轴、四带”的城镇体系格局。中心城区现有各类经营性商业网点1.5万余个，大中型零售商业网点62个，目前也沃尔玛、华润万家、北京华联、大润发、奥特莱斯、国美、红星美凯龙等国内外知名企业入驻。2015年社会消费品零售总额640亿元，比上年增长12.2%，

Town service: A general pattern of town system in Zunyi has come into being, which is featured by “One Core, Two Axles, and Four Belts”. In the downtown, there are about fifteen thousand profit-making business networks of various kinds, 62 of which are medium-large-scaled retail commercial networks.
